Brussels Economic Forum 2021

29/06/2021

The annual flagship economic event of the European Commission, the Brussels Economic Forum (BEF), takes place on 29 June through an online event. Over the last 20 years, the event has brought together various stakeholders from the domain of economics – from EU and international policy makers to representatives of the civil society and business leaders. During the Forum, policy priorities for the European economy are discussed and future challenges identified.

The 2021 edition of the Brussels Economic Forum takes place under the motto “Making it happen: Building the Economy we want”. Consequently, new perspectives and the look into the future are at the top of the agenda. This is only logical given that the BEF is part of the Conference on the Future of Europe, during which European citizens can voice their ideas and contribute to shaping the future of the continent.
