On 13th and 14th May, UNESCO is hosting the International Water Conference in Paris. The UNESCO International Water Conference aims to advance sustainable water security and peace by leveraging intersectoral management of water resources.
The objectives of the conference are the following:
- Bring everyone around the table to discuss intersectoral approaches to the governance and management of water resources.
- Launch a Call for Action to foster, embrace, and adopt intersectoral water management.
- Share good practices enabling participation, transparency and information-sharing.
- Give evidence of the importance of interdisciplinarity and the integration of sciences to support Member States in reaching the goals of the water-related international agendas.
