Today is the United Nations International Day of Biological Diversity (Theme 2019 - Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health).
So let us celebrate and reflect on the great natural treasures our planet still has to offer. After all, the number of species around the world has been reduced by human activities for decades. Therefore, it is time for each and everyone of us to take action, since small gestures can and do make a big difference. As human beings we depend on biodiversity as it is the foundation of our food and, ultimately, of our health.
