Stefan Zweig's Birthday

28/11/2022

In November, it is time to celebrate the birthday of Stefan Zweig, one of the most renowned Austrian authors. He was born in Vienna on November 28, 1881 and contributed greatly to literature through his studies of the work of literary heavyweights such as Honoré de Balzac, Charles Dickens and Fyodor Dostoyevsky.

Stefan Zweig was also a fellow linguist since he translated the works of several French poets such as Charles Baudelaire and Paul Verlaine. If you want to honour him in November and discover his universe, you can read or re-read some of his original works: Spring in the Prater/Praterfrühling (1900), Letter from an unknown woman/Brief einer Unbekannten (1922), Amok (1922), among many others.

If you are learning German or want to practice from German into your active language, you can take this opportunity to interpret some of our videos focusing on Austria:
