United Against Terrorism

06/01/2021

On this very day six years ago, one of the most brutal terrorist attacks to date took place at the Parisian headquarters of a prestigious French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo.

A group of jihadist sympathisers burst into the Charlie Hebdo offices on the morning of 7 January 2015 and started gunning down all journalists and cartoonists who got in their line of vision. Their motive was clear: Allah and prophet Muhammed are not to be joked about.

We condemn the use of violence in order to impose one’s political or religious views on others. Freedom of cult and speech must prevail, as they are two of the main pillars of modern day society.
